Rehegoo offers personalised music solutions for businesses, brands and content, for clients like Lego, Bata, Timberland, The North Face and New Balance. These fully licensed music solutions are tailored to client’s brand image, clientele and marketing needs.
The company generates billions of streams yearly on digital stores, sells millions of albums and singles worldwide, and is the top music content provider for Spotify among independent producers. However, it faced several challenges in managing its extensive music inventory and integrating its delivery system with their clients’ spaces, posing a threat to its operations and demanding a strategic solution.
Rehegoo required an integrated omnichannel delivery application capable of:
Easily validating client information like subscription packages and ensuring access to personalised playlists based on genre and subscription

Facilitating authentication, delivery and tracking of music through different channels like mobile apps, web apps, music boxes and even offline. Integrating these diverse delivery channels, including offline, into one system presented a significant challenge.
Providing analytics to ensure transparency in revenue-sharing models between the artist and Rehegoo, including tracking and integrating offline plays.

Solution
Crafting harmonious solutions
Versatile Commerce developed custom web and mobile applications for Rehegoo using Java, React Native, and 3JS technologies. These applications enabled Rehegoo to meet their business requirements, maintain the vast inventory, connect and validate subscription packages and link the software to their revenue stream, even in offline mode.
The project consisted of a one-month Proof-of-Concept phase and seven months of development. A dedicated five-member team from Versatile Commerce worked across three time zones (UK, Australia and India) to deliver the project. They employed Agile methodology with regular show-and-tell sessions with the Rehegoo team. The testing phase included comprehensive penetration testing with zero faults detected.
Integration complexities and client-side validation posed significant challenges but were successfully addressed through proactive collaboration and meticulous attention to detail. Rigorous and regular line-by-line code reviews also helped Versatile Commerce win their client’s trust.
